Haunted Hospital

Los Angeles, CA

Santa Fe Coast Lines Hospital, is a former hospital in the Boyle Heights Los Angeles, California. Originally the Santa Fe Railroad Hospital, the hospital was constructed for railroad employees in 1904 and reconstructed in 1924. There are rumors that Howard Hughes would visit the hospital during his time in Los Angeles, occupying the entire top floor of the hospital by himself during his stays and the hospital was closed in 1991 because there were too many unexplained patient deaths.

We had a small investigation team for this case.   There are reports from other paranormal groups that have experienced unexplained activity in many different locations of the hospital buildings.  They experienced the noise of a little child, showdowns, full apparitions, items being moved and being touched.  We did our best to find some answers.

We used our bionic ear equipment, audio recording equipment, K2, temperature readers and video camera to do a scientific investigation.

In the analysis of our recordings we  found that there was some unexplained audio in the south building of the hospital. It was hard to tell if it was an actual EVP. There was also VP of a voice of a little girl that was caught during our investigation of the second floor of the south building. The best evidence that we have is that of an image of a child or woman on the third floor looking out of a window.  We were not able to debunk the image on the picture (unsuccessful). There were some cold spots in some of the rooms during the investigation that dropped by 8-14 degrees, while the rest of the room kept a current temperature. The temperature during our investigation stayed between 59-62 F°. The K-2 displayed some evidence of unexplained energy in the rooms, halls and stairwells, power to those locations were turned off.  There was power still in the underground tunnels being generated; the K2 readings were high. This finding helped to establish that there was electricity being used in the hospital.

Our Lead Medium picked up many vibes of spirits at the hospital. Based on his experience at the hospital it helped draw a connection to the findings.  The findings of our evidence indicated that there is a spirit of a little girl in the third floor of the south building that is friendly. There is a presence of bad spirit on the second floor of the south building by the stairs. There is also the presence of spirits in the halls and rooms of the hospital buildings. There were no signs of ghosts during our investigation.

It was difficult to come up with a conclusion based on a one night investigation. The group did not experience any type of paranormal activity during the investigation.  Based on this investigation we have to say at this time that this is not a haunted location. Activity continues to be reported at the hospital and our members are planning to return to conduct a further in depth investigation.

We sent out audio to be reviewed by a peer paranormal group. They found the same findings in our evidence that we caught on our audio. They were not given any specific time to look for in the audio. BLIND CONTROL FINDINGS

Linda Vista Community Hospital in Boyle Heights, where railroad workers once recuperated, is now used for movie and TV shoots. Crews working on horror flicks say the place often gives them the creeps.

The iron chain falls with a clang as the old man steps into the dark, deserted hallway of Linda Vista Community Hospital. Lights flicker and a stench of mold hangs in the air. Down the main corridor, a lone metal gurney rests against a wall.
