We had a Pre-investigation of a residential house where the occupants were experiencing unexplained activity. These occupants were experiencing, hearing an unexplained voice, cold spots and shadows in the hall and one of the bedrooms. The occupants allowed us to do a full investigation of the house to help them find answers.
We sent in team one and used all our scientific tools to conduct a scientific investigation. We used our small CCTV system, cameras, audio recorders, EMF, wind meter and other equipment. We recorded 3 hours of audio and video with our equipment. We also did interviews with occupants regarding the experiences that they have been having.
In our analysis of our audio recordings we found no phenomenon in the master bedroom. There was nothing found in our video recordings to claim paranormal (haunting), but did notice some high distortion of EMF (Electro-magnetic Field) readings. The high gauss (mG) readings where coming from the floor all over the home measuring at unsafe levels (there where areas reading 14.4 mG coming from the floor). This potentially harmful field reading could explain occupants feeling their hair standing up and sensation of being watched. The distortions from main bedroom regarding orbs around our security night-vision cameras were cause by drafts coming from the poor doorway weather striping. The analysis team did not notice this around the other cameras in the other rooms. We dismiss this; due to the fact that there was lots of dust and a draft in the room (draft was measured on wind meter). We debunked the cold spots by applying towels at the bottom of the doors to rooms. Temperatures stayed the same cross the room when towels were applied.
We did not get any EVPs or unexplained phenomenon in the house during our pre-investigation. We determined the unsafe range of EMF readings is due to the poor electrical wiring installation done to the house. We had one of our investigators go down under the home where he found old electrical wires exposed, and unsafe electrical connections all over the floor panel. We suggested to help reduce exposure of high electromagnetic fields the occupants need to have a professional come down and install and fix exposed electrical wires found under the home.
Our pre-investigation findings at this time indicate that the house is not haunted. Further Investigation is needed to explain the activities that the occupants are experiencing. We asked the family to keep a log book to track any activity to help the case. We have been asked to come back to conduct an in depth investigation. (No audio or visual findings)
